Blonde little Indian 1964
When I was about six, I was outside playing with some neighbor kids. They decided they wanted to play cowboys and indians (This was circa 1964, when Hollywood cowboys were all the rage).
The boys also thought that I (a blonde haired and blue eyed girl child) would make a perfect "Indian." Apparently they thought I would be easy to handle. But when they tried to tie me up to a tree, I kicked one of them in the stomach and ran.
Sometime later, his mother came to our door and asked my mother where the "bully" was that had hurt her little boy (he was about 7). When she realized it was a five year old girl, she grabbed her son by the ear and took him home, totally embarrassed.
For some odd reason, I was not invited to play that particular game again. Sadly, I have no doubt that those boys learned nothing from the experience and just found easier targets for their games.
